Electric Locker Skid Plate
THIS SKID PLATE IS DESIGNED PRIMARILY TO FIT THE ELECTRIC LOCKER RETROFITTED
INTO THE GEN 1 AND 2 PICKUPS AND 4-RUNNERS. HOWEVER, IT WILL FIT THE STOCK
TACOMA WITH E-LOCKER. I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND A 4-RUNNER AND FJ-80
CRUISER TO TEST IT ON. THIS SKID PLATE WILL BOLT UP TO THE HIGH PINION OR
LOW PINION DIFFERENTIAL IN FRONT OR REAR SOLID AXLES. THERE ARE NO
MODIFICATIONS NEEDED, IT BOLTS TO THE 2 FACTORY 111mm STUDS AND THE BOTTOM LEFT
BOLT ON THE LOCKER.
The skidplate is made entirely of 1/4" thick steel plate! It fits both high pinion and V6 differentials, as well as Tacoma axles. No modifications are needed, as it simply bolts on using the factory hardware! And like he says, "The motor housing is aluminum, and rocks are harder. Replacing aluminum parts is expensive, rocks are abundant and free!" Nice to know that when you get a little "off the line," that there is a skidplate protecting the motor housing on your electric locker!
