* Best results when used with Tokico Trek Master front shock: GU3535 (1996-2002
4Runner & 1996-2004 Tacoma) GU3731 (1999-2004 Tundra). This is because the
Daystar spacers are designed to work with a stock length shock like the Trek
Master. They increase the overall length of the entire assembly to the same
length as an Old Man Emu N91S front shock without a lift. A longer shock like
the Old Man Emu or a Bilstein with these spacers will result in over extension
of the front suspension and back of the upper ball joint will come in contact
with the coil spring. For the rear of a 1996-2004 4Runner the best rear shock
bar none is the Old Man Emu N86. This is for all lifts, no matter if they are
lift spacers or lift coils.
** For a Tacoma or Tundra rear lift buy a full set of replacement leaf springs
from Alcan or All Pro. Don't mess around with add-a-leafs or blocks.
*** Sold in pairs, two pairs per vehicle needed.
**** This kit includes
an exhaust relocation hanger so you do not have to cut off or modify your
exhaust. It also includes new frame and spring bushings as well as bolts.
You will need to remove the stock press-in bushing on the rear of the factory
leaf springs. This can be done with a hole saw that has the center bit
removed, drill through the rubber and remove the center sleeve, you can then use
a Saws-all to carefully cut a section out of the outer sleeve. The sleeve
can then be taped out. The other option is to remove the leafs and press
out the bushings with a 20-ton shop press.
